In celebration of 50 years of de-evolution, the cult-classic American new wave band DEVO returned to their home state of Ohio with a curated exhibition of rare and never-before-seen fine art prints of iconic moments in DEVO history.

The exhibition included a pop-up viewing at the North Market and a VIP meet & greet event hosted at 934 Gallery. We crafted a full marketing campaign to support the exhibition, including digital promos, takeaway print materials, and an event poster that doubled as a photo backdrop. Every asset was designed to celebrate DEVO’s legacy while driving buzz and attendance for the event.

On a personal note, our highlight of the event was getting the opportunity to meet Mark Mothersbaugh himself – frontman of DEVO and the brilliant composer of countless iconic scores including Rugrats, Halloweentown, and so many Wes Anderson movies that we love.

934 Gallery is a non-profit, contemporary art gallery in Columbus, Ohio, showcasing local, national, and international artists. 934 Gallery focuses on bringing a fresh perspective to contemporary art through trailblazing exhibitions, installations, performances, and public art projects.

Since 2021, we have offered our services pro bono to the 100% volunteer-run gallery, currently serving as Marketing Committee Chair (Madison) and Creative Director (Ryan).
